Ghibli Museum Mitaka

During my recent trip to Tokyo, Japan, I was so excited as I’ve gotten tickets to visit the famous Ghibli Museum. However, in this post, I’ve decided to let the pictures do the talking. A picture says more than a thousand words right? So sit back, relax and join me in this pictorial magical journey.

First, I had to find Lawson, which was a Japanese style convenience store, and locate the Loppi machine. After choosing my desired date and time of entry, I took the receipt and paid at the cashier. Upon arriving at Mitaka Station, I headed on to catch the Ghibli Bus where I had to first buy a bus ticket from the vending machine so do remember to carry some coins with you.

The journey was just magical, with all the drafts, drawings and pictures coming to life. I caught a short film at the theatre which was about Totoro and was exclusive only to the musuem. After walking around, I decided to take a rest at the cafe but it was full! So I just went ahead with a cold beer at the hot dog stand which was also starting to crowd with people.

It was then followed up by walking up the stairway to the rooftop and behold, the statue of Laputa and the Mystery Box. We ended the trip with gifts, memories and a picture of the gate with Totoro in the ticketing box.

Ghibli fans! Do not miss this!
