What to see and do
The nature walk is a must! Along the way, you will encounter various sights which make you feel relaxed and refreshed. Most importantly, lets you in on the various happenings during World War II.
There is the famed replica of the “dragon tooth gate” (Long Ya Men) which was exploded back in the old days to make room for a larger harbour entrance.
Not to miss are the various flora and fauna that are abundant in the reserve, including the blue-crowned hanging parrot, various monkeys and squirrels, also, not forgetting lots of tree species.
War relics are spread out around the nature reserve. Do look out for the 6-inch gun, machine gun, a large bronze book, tunnel entrances and also a fort. While in the reserve, proceed to the lookout on the highest point and be amazed by the glory of the sea and the jetty.
Unique to Labrador Park is the rocky shore and sea-cliff, dubbed the last rocky shore in Singapore. Many species of marine creatures are found here. However, due to preservation, the rocky beach is not accessible to public after being gazetted as a Nature Reserve, unless it is for educational or research purposes. For that, you would have to write in to apply for a permit.
The Comchest Green is an extension of area in Labrador Park. Situated in close proximity to the sea, this park is a therapeutic place for the older generation and people with disabilities.
